Pipe tig welder • Funakaye, Gombe State

Vacancy available: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Funakaye, Gombe State. The role involves: • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) Requirements: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium Part-time with flexible hours.
