Bar bender and fixer — Piatt County

Now hiring: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Piatt County, Illinois. You will cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings. What we are looking for: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
