Gas service engineer — Yates County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas service engineer in Yates County, New York. Your main tasks: • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections • Braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints • Complete gas safety certificates and label the finished installation • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant Requirements: • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing • Driving licence for travel between sites Rotating shifts.
