Groundsman — Rensselaer County

Now hiring: we are hiring a groundsman in Rensselaer County, New York. You will work at a landscaping company. On the job you will handle: • Sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades • Water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines • Repot nursery stock and pot on cuttings • Dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds • Lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn • Operate strimmers, leaf blowers and brush cutters You should have: • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules Rotating shifts.
