Great opportunity: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Allegan County, Michigan. You will work in a sampling and tailoring workshop. You should have: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus On a typical shift you will set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Pay around $31 per hour, based on your experience.
