Foundry worker • Oscoda County, Michigan

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry worker in Oscoda County, Michigan. You will pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity. What we are looking for: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Part-time with flexible hours.
