Gtaw welder — Sheffield

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Sheffield, England. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. What we are looking for: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Day to day you will back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); carry out 6G pipe welds where required; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges. Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
