We are recruiting: we are hiring a vacuum press operator in Bell County, Kentucky. The job is in a busy laundry. What we are looking for: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment Your main tasks: • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Give each garment a final press before packing • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
