Immediate opening: press operator (Kansas)

Now hiring: we are hiring a press operator in Jackson County, Kansas. The job is in a sheet metal stamping unit. You will fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting; adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings; check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges; load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed; feed blanks into the die and remove formed parts. Requirements: • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout Six days a week, one day off.
