Pipe tig welder — Harris County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Harris County, Texas. Day to day you will control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings Full-time with occasional weekends.
