Now hiring: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Gladwin County, Michigan. What we are looking for: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding The role involves: • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints Rotating shifts.
