Single needle operator wanted in Henry County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a single needle operator in Henry County, Illinois. The job is in a small denim manufacturing unit. Day-to-day duties: • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet Requirements: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens Full-time with occasional weekends.
