Join our team: we are hiring a tiling assistant in City of Franklin, Virginia. You will be based on a residential construction site. Ideal candidate: • Able to read setting-out drawings and tile layouts • Knowledge of waterproofing and substrate preparation • Own a basic set of tiling tools (trowels, spacers, levels) The role involves: • Check the falls to floor wastes so the water drains away • Apply a waterproofing membrane in showers and wet areas • Lay floor and wall tiles to plumb and level using a spirit level • Screed and prepare uneven floors before tiling • Level large-format tiles with a tile levelling system • Mix tile adhesive and cement mortar to the right consistency At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
