Furnace operator — Chelan County

Join our team: we are hiring a furnace operator in Chelan County, Washington. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Ideal candidate: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Basic grinding and fettling skills The role involves: • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
