Refrigeration installation technician — Ottawa County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a refrigeration installation technician in Ottawa County, Kansas. You will be based at a supermarket cold-chain site. Day-to-day duties: • Pull a vacuum on the system and check for trapped moisture • Trace leaks with an electronic detector and soap solution • Measure the compressor motor's amperage draw with a clamp meter • Recover refrigerant gas before opening a sealed system • Check superheat and subcooling and trim the charge What we are looking for: • ITI or diploma in refrigeration / RAC trade • Physically fit to lift compressors and carry ladders • Valid driving licence for field call-outs Six days a week, one day off.
