You should have: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work Day to day you will press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots.
