Vacancy available: scaffold fitter (England)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a scaffold fitter in Cumbria, England. You will erect tube-and-fitting and system scaffolds such as Cuplok and Kwikstage; tighten right-angle and swivel couplers to torque with a podger spanner; set out base plates and sole boards on firm, level ground; fix transoms and bracing to keep the structure square and rigid; tie the scaffold back to the building with through-ties and anchors; handle, sort and stack tubes and fittings for loading out. Requirements: • Full use of harness, lanyard and fall-arrest equipment • Physically fit for repeated heavy lifting of tubes and boards • Able to read basic scaffold drawings Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
