Mechanical press operator — Kiri Kasama

We are recruiting: we are hiring a mechanical press operator in Kiri Kasama, Jigawa State. You will be based at an auto components factory. Day-to-day duties: • Record output and downtime on the production sheet • Feed blanks into the die and remove formed parts • Load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings • Check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges • Watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout • 1-2 years' experience on power or hydraulic presses • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred 4+ years on the tools preferred.
