Great opportunity: we are hiring a horizontal milling machine operator in Merced County, California. You will work at a precision engineering workshop. The role involves: • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm • Carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance • Deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production Requirements: • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery 1+ years on the tools preferred. $4,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
