Argon arc welder — Vernon County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Vernon County, Wisconsin. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. On the job you will handle: • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish You should have: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work 4+ years on the tools preferred.
