Vertical milling machine operator wanted in Chittenden County

Join our team: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Chittenden County, Vermont. The job is at a precision engineering workshop. On a typical shift you will mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square; set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines; measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges; set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe; monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters; read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence. You should have: • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T Full-time with occasional weekends.
