Join our team: we are hiring an argon welder in Bosque County, Texas. The job is in a pharmaceutical piping facility. On the job you will handle: • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle You should have: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
