Now hiring: we are hiring an excavator operator in East Renfrewshire, Scotland. You will work on a busy construction site. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance • Minimum 2-3 years' experience operating earthmoving machinery • Willing to work at remote sites and mines on a roster The role involves: • Top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations • Keep the cab clean and complete the daily machine logbook • Level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines • Excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels Full-time with occasional weekends. £1,750 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
