Lifting rigger — Edgar County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Edgar County, Illinois. You will work at a shipyard. Your main tasks: • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight Requirements: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles 5+ years on the tools preferred.
