Foundry operative — Kazaure

Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry operative in Kazaure, Jigawa State. You will be based on the moulding line. You should have: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Basic grinding and fettling skills On the job you will handle: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects Six days a week, one day off.
