Now hiring: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Brazos County, Texas. Day-to-day duties: • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts You should have: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding 1+ years on the tools preferred. $4,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
