Machine operator (earthworks) — LaSalle County

Join our team: we are hiring a machine operator (earthworks) in LaSalle County, Illinois. The job is in an open-cast quarry. Day to day you will swap buckets and attachments — rock breaker, grab, ripper, auger; work to laser, GPS or 2D/3D machine-control guidance; lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains; backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers. Requirements: • Own PPE — safety boots, hi-vis and hard hat • Sound understanding of daily maintenance and greasing • Physically fit for long hours in the cab on outdoor sites At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
