Plant operator — Carroll County

Now hiring: we are hiring a plant operator in Carroll County, Iowa. You will be based on a busy construction site. Day-to-day duties: • Excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels • Work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations • Check for underground cables and services before digging • Level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines What we are looking for: • Able to read levels, pegs and basic site drawings • Minimum 2-3 years' experience operating earthmoving machinery • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance Full-time with occasional weekends. Meals and transport allowance provided. We offer $4,100 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
