Elevator technician — Shelby County

Now hiring: we are hiring an elevator technician in Shelby County, Illinois. The job is on a lift modernisation project. Your main tasks: • Fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments • Rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables • Adjust door operator timing and re-levelling accuracy • Replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays • Respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers • Wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches Requirements: • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota Six days a week, one day off.
