Mechanical press operator — Chippewa County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a mechanical press operator in Chippewa County, Michigan. The job is at a busy press shop. Ideal candidate: • 1-2 years' experience on power or hydraulic presses • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts • Physically fit to stand a full shift and lift blanks up to 20 kg The role involves: • Set up and change stamping dies and tooling • Operate mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic power presses • Clear scrap and offcuts from the die area • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings • Apply die lubricant and keep the tooling clean • Top up the press hydraulic oil and grease the slide ways At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
