Pipe tig welder • Waller County, Texas

We are recruiting: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Waller County, Texas. You will be based at a stainless steel fabrication shop. Your main tasks: • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions Ideal candidate: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
