Blocklayer — Runnels County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a blocklayer in Runnels County, Texas. Day to day you will brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks 6+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Pay around $3,100 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
