Core maker — Bedford County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a core maker in Bedford County, Virginia. You will work in a non-ferrous casting shop. On the job you will handle: • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture What we are looking for: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
