Argon welder — Montgomery County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an argon welder in Montgomery County, Illinois. You will be based at a stainless steel fabrication shop. You will weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); carry out 6G pipe welds where required; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode. You should have: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight Meals and transport allowance provided. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
