Cement mason — Augie

Immediate opening: we are hiring a cement mason in Augie, Kebbi State. The job is in a residential housing project. Day-to-day duties: • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule • Discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms • Strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days You should have: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
