Laundry presser — Carroll County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a laundry presser in Carroll County, Iowa. The job is at a textile finishing unit. The role involves: • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments Requirements: • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $3,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
