Gas meter installer — Allegany County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gas meter installer in Allegany County, Maryland. You should have: • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion On a typical shift you will connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply; test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser; complete gas safety certificates and label the finished installation; install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation; purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate; braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints. 4+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
