Tig welder — Chenango County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a tig welder in Chenango County, New York. You will be based on an industrial construction site. On a typical shift you will prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints. You should have: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
