You should have: • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently Day-to-day duties: • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose Rotating shifts.
