Core maker — Dodge County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a core maker in Dodge County, Georgia. You will work in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Ideal candidate: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Day-to-day duties: • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
