Machine setter-operator • Southampton, England

Vacancy available: we are hiring a machine setter-operator in Southampton, England. You will be based in a packaging factory. Your main tasks: • Monitor gauges and stop the machine when readings drift • Segregate finished parts into bins and label the batches • Measure parts with vernier calliper, micrometer and go/no-go gauges • Change tooling, dies and moulds during product changeovers • Clear jams and remove rejected parts from the line • Run the first-off piece and check it against the drawing Requirements: • Knowledge of lockout-tagout and machine safety • Basic record-keeping and part-counting skills At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. We offer £2,600 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
