Now hiring: we are hiring a cake decorator in Floyd County, Georgia. The job is at a cake shop. Requirements: • 2+ years' experience as a baker • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen You will prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity; rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials; weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe; laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter; shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand; check finished products for colour, crumb and weight. 3+ years on the tools preferred. $3,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
