Immediate opening: restoration bricklayer (Texas)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in Sterling County, Texas. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding You will building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. $3,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
