Shuttering and concrete hand — Accomack County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a shuttering and concrete hand in Accomack County, Virginia. You will be based at a ready-mix concrete plant. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet • Comfortable working at heights and on scaffolds • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE The role involves mix concrete to the specified grade (M15, M20, M25) by hand or in a mixer; compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing; load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors; carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab; fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule; give broom or steel-trowel finishes as specified.
