Press shop operator — Georgetown County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a press shop operator in Georgetown County, South Carolina. The job is in a metal fabrication workshop. What we are looking for: • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred • Familiar with die setting and quick tool changes Your main tasks: • Check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges • Carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings • Feed blanks into the die and remove formed parts Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
