Shakeout operator wanted in Delaware County

Join our team: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Delaware County, Oklahoma. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Day to day you will tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles. Ideal candidate: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
