Blocklayer — Washington County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a blocklayer in Washington County, Indiana. You will be based at a renovation and extension job. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding On the job you will handle: • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge 5+ years on the tools preferred.
