Immediate opening: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania. On the job you will handle: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards 4+ years on the tools preferred.
