Immediate opening: we are hiring a sheet metal press operator in Winnebago County, Illinois. You will work at an auto components factory. You will check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges; fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting; apply die lubricant and keep the tooling clean; operate mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic power presses; feed blanks into the die and remove formed parts. Ideal candidate: • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout Full-time with occasional weekends.
