Immediate opening: laundry presser (Scotland)

Now hiring: we are hiring a laundry presser in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. You will be based in a busy laundry. Requirements: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine Your main tasks: • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
